Saying goodbye to this world

Saying goodbye to this world

I’m movin’ to Virginia, where the catch is supreme, where the grass is greener, I’m movin’ to Virgina

I’m movin’ from this place, so I can get out of here, and go be by my best friend, I’m movin’ from this place

I’m movin’ from here to there

I’m saying goodbye to friends, they helped me along the way, but you’ll always be, I’m saying goodbye to friends

Getting ready to hit the road, got all my bags packed, found my dog a new home, getting’ ready to hit the road

I’m on the road, things passing bye, saying goodbye to this world

See You in a Hurry, Baby

What’s you in a hurry for? Where you got to be?  I see you’re in a hurry baby, Where you got to get, girl?  Where you got to be?  I see you in a hurry, baby

I see you in line and you’re checkin’ out, but you’re not checking anyone out, I see you go by me as I walk out the door, and you’re in a hurry to get to your car door

It must be a man you gotta get to, it must be a man, it must be a man that is your plan

You’re runnin’ like there’s no tomorrow, and you run, and drove away like a shooting gun

Pull up to the door and he is standin’ there with a frown on his face, as you step in he comes around and his world turns around

You make dinner together, you enjoy a movie, you play cards together, you make love together

It doesn’t have to be so complicated, it doesn’t have to be bare, somewhere in the middle is where you always meet, somewhere in the middle under sheets

Is there anything more than this?  This love and sweet kiss, Is there anything more than this?

It doesn’t have to be so complicated, it doesn’t have to be bare, somewhere in the middle is where you always meet, somewhere in the middle under sheets

My home is my connection

She’s Gone for Now

She don’t wanna hear what I say, it’s all about her anyway, put my foot where it didn’t belong, and it all came back to me mighty strong, I’m feeling now, feeling somehow, I don’t talk to her anyhow, she went away for now

And I don’t know how long, and I don’t know how things may go, I don’t know how long, she’s gone for now

She drove away in her BM-dub, she gloated later about her Club Car Wash, she got a subscription in his name, told me how good, it was his name, calling me up to tell me so,    she had had a few and I told her so, she said, “How did-ya-know?”, honey, I just know, know like you did when you cupped his pants, then came back and told me so

She’s gone for now, might be for good, but the goodness in me says just keep on, we don’t live long, some not long at all, so I’ll take each breath and breathe somehow, I’ve got all I need my dog and me, playing for you, I play for me, what else is there but this young heart?,  I hope you stay young and not an old start, so start me up I’m coming brand new

Might not get her back anyhow

Some Don't Believe In Dreams

Some don’t believe in dreams, they just keep making the decisions from the time before, this one leads to the next one, comfortable in their security

Some don’t believe in dreams, but they’ll flirt with them until they become real, the fantasy is broken

Some don’t believe in dreams, only the lies they tell themselves and pull you in, only to be thwarted

Some don’t believe in dreams, some don’t believe life is what you intend it to be, some don’t believe in dreams

Sometimes Life

Sometimes life is lonely and you miss old friends, never to be seen again, never to make real amends

Sometimes life is anxious, can’t wait to get over, pass on the judgement that you’re feeling inside

Sometimes life is harsh, wading through the marsh, like a soldier at war following orders

Sometimes life is easy, baking cookies, sweet as can be, melt in your mouth

Sometimes I wanna cut my throat, sometimes I wanna give in, sometimes I wanna take my coat, and burn it

Sometimes life will go by in a flash, hours to days to years will pass

Sometimes you can look in the mirror, don’t like what you see, I shave my face, my head

Sometimes life is beauty, flowers blooming, sometimes everything is going just the way you imagined

Sometimes I wanna cry out, sometimes I wanna leap, sometimes I wanna finish, just what I started

Speakin’ To Me

Speakin’ to me beyond the graveside, reminding me just to take it slow, nowhere to go, things will be ok, speakin’ to me from the Other Side

You’re feelin’ down, can’t find your way, to higher ground, where you once were

It’s only a moment in time, it will pass in time, only a moment in time

Feeling good, don’t you remember, like you should, can’t help but to remember, only now when you’re gone can I recall how I felt, I sunk it all, buried deep inside, why do I try

and run from you?

From the Other Side, speakin’ to me

Still

Still think of you with me, still see you in my, still dream what if, like the song with a pot of gold that’s never mentioned

Still come back to, still hope we can, still love you, like that song with the angry scream, and it’s never mentioned

Still hold on, still, I’m still, still lonely, like that song we danced that I won’t mention

Still imagine, still hurt, still exist, like that song that keeps me going, and they say, “don’t mention it”

Still Runnin’

Here in the theater all by myself, crying my eyes out and I don’t know why, the first thing I think of is you, Oh my, one sweet one but you are gone, gone, gone

Still running from the feeling and if I were to stay I would be torn apart and blown away

Things are the same, you’re not with me, you haven’t called nor written at all, but I know what I want and that is my health, so here’s one to you wishing you all the years, years, years

My, how the time flies, I’ve flown away into the mountains, the great open sky, I’m breathing the air the scent so sweet, but not so sweet as you once were, were, were

Here is your home, you’re never alone, your heart is your home

Here in my room, not ever alone, I have moved on and c’est la vie, I’ll find me a new one to love, to give my heart but only a piece, piece, piece this time

Still runnin’ from you cuz I don’t know what else to do

Here in the theatre all by myself

Your heart is your home

Swishing Sea

I wake up and wonder if it’s still there that sense I can barely bear, the one that’s in my hair, just about everywhere, and it is

I can’t shake the feelings that’ll quake me out of my natural happiness, It’s like a stone you drop that never seems to stop, a bottomless pit that doesn’t go away

I connect to my brain, the big brain, which operates like there’s no tomorrow, It’s like it’s all known, every potential, it’s up to me to try and go to the one that’ll let me be free

It sounds surreal, can I imagine? Can I break free from the misery? And start to be what I came to be a man free without bounds, holy

I close my eyes and remember there’s no start to what I finish, In every bone and every pore there’s a sense I’m everywhere, everywhere

The flowers and bees, the trees and coasts, the infinite space within me, look her in the eyeball as if you are gonna die, and let her know

Running scared, running free, like a robin to all those who’ve gone before, All of my weight, me and it, I let go into the sea, swishing
