Kahlulee
New album release
I am a singer-songwriter living in Lawrence, KS. I play the uke and write songs inspired from everywhere: from heart and soul to people I meet and encounters I create. I have played music since I was very young, fiddling around on family and friends' instruments. My first official instrument was the drums then I gravitated to guitar, singing and harmonica and now the uke, singing and harmonica. I have played many open mikes and have played in many bands. I have also played in more formal environments like symphonic and jazz school bands including two years of music schooling at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Today I stick to writing songs solely on the ukulele.
I wrote my first song when I was in college, and I have written on and off since. The Human Touch is my first official album as a solo artist, and I am delighted how it came out.

Press / Reviews
“While so many artists turn out songs that sound like millions of other ones, Kahlulee is this rare thing: an artist with his own voice. ” - Pierre Englebert
